About us
English hosts Isobel and Simon speak a little French and are passionate about learning the language and immersing themselves into the French way of life and culture.
Simon enjoys the darks nights and clear sky’s when he can enjoy the wonders of the stars and planets with his telescope. Isobel loves nothing more than being at one with nature and can often be found with camera in hand capturing precious moments with the many species of birds, deer, and other wildlife enjoying their natural habitat.

Together with Bernard and Poppy, they enjoy the wonders of My French Location, including 'Wild Pond' - 'L'étang savage', 'Friends wood' - 'Le bois des amis', and 'the secret garden' - 'Le Jardin secret', as well as exploring this beautiful part of France.

My French Location is both a tranquil haven for nature, and for those looking to escape the daily grind and unwind in this peaceful setting.
Bernard is a Petit Basset Griffon Vendéen. He is a very happy, and stubborn little fella, and despite being a hound he truly adores all wildlife and nature. He has the biggest heart, and loves nothing more than spending time contemplating life in the company of his friends, the wild hedgehogs that live around My French Location.
Poppy is a terrier cross rescue. Poppy had a difficult start in life, lived in kennels at the rescue for many months, and was struggling. Time, patience, and love have helped Poppy to find herself and live her best life. She is warm, loving, and attentive, and she has a very special relationship with Bernard and her forever family.
